Trade Deadline

The Trade Deadline setting determines if the league uses a deadline for trading players between teams. This option is offered to prevent teams from sandbagging at the end of the season by trading blue-chip players for average ones.

Once the Trade Deadline date arrives, trading will be disabled.

NOTE: Trades accepted before the trade deadline but scheduled to process after the deadline will still process normally.

ESPN will set the default trade deadline for all Standard Leagues. This deadline can be adjusted by League Managers in private, League Manager leagues.

To view your league's Trade Deadline

1. Go to League
2. Click on Settings
3. Click on Transactions and Keepers
4. Scroll down to Trade Rules

All Standard Leagues use the following Trade Deadline

• The trade deadline applies only to transactions between teams.
• Team managers are still free to add and drop players via free agency and waivers throughout the entire season.

Set Trade Deadline for League Manager Leagues (Web Only)

1. Click on LM Tools
2. Click on Edit League Settings
3. Click on Transactions and Keepers
4. Click the Edit button next to Trade Rules
   • Options for modification include:
     • Trade Limit
     • Trade Deadline
     • Trade Review Period
     • Vetoes Required to Veto Trade
5. Click the Save Changes button when finished
