Look for the link called Manage IL on your 'My Team' page. This is located just below the 'Standings' tab. This option allows you to move players to the IL as well as reactivate players from the IL.
After clicking 'Manage IL', available actions appear next to IL players and players who are eligible for the IL.
If you need to activate the player in the IL slot, and none of your other players are IL eligible, you will need to drop a player from your active roster.
If you do have another IL eligible player, you can swap the reactivated player with the IL eligible player.
Always remember to click the 'Submit' button to save your changes.
Injury status is updated every day, throughout the day, based on feeds from our data providers. It is important to note that there is often a gap between when a team announces an IL move will take place and when it actually happens. ESPN only offers IL status to players who are officially on the IL, regardless of the expected length of absence.
CHANGE FOR 2020 SEASON: For the 2020 Fantasy Baseball season, we increased the default number of IL slots in leagues from one to three. In League Manager Leagues, the League Manager can adjust that number to be higher or lower.
DISABLED LIST IN WEEKLY LOCK LEAGUES
In a weekly lock custom league, a team manager has the ability to manage the IL for the current day only. IL changes cannot be future dated. Moving a player to the IL will only be possible while rosters are unlocked, usually on Sundays.
Here's an example: I'm in a weekly lock league and manage my roster on Sundays. I change my lineup of batters and pitchers for the week by clicking on the future game days and shifting players around. If I want to place Player A (who is IL eligible) on the IL, I must make the change effective now, and it will appear on my lineup for Monday's games. I would not be able to click Wednesday's games and make the move effective Wednesday, that would be a future dated IL change.
