Join a Public (Standard) League

Public leagues offer the opportunity to dive right into playing fantasy sports by providing prebuilt league that use standardized rules. ESPN offers a wide variety of options for players of every level. 

ESPN acts as the commissioner for these leagues to ensure a fair and friendly environment for everyone to enjoy Fantasy Sports. All Team Managers must adhere to the ESPN Code of Conduct.

NOTE: Once your Public League has drafted, you may not leave that league.

Joining a Public (Standard) League On the ESPN Fantasy App

1. Open the ESPN Fantasy App and sign in.
2. At the top of the screen scroll to Create or Join A League.
3. Swipe (left/right) to locate the Fantasy Game you wish to play.
4. Select Join a Public League.
5. You can now make a series of selection to find the best Public League for you to join:
   1. Your Experience Level - We'll match you with leagues that have players of similar experience.
   2. Scoring type
   3. Draft Type
   4. Draft Date & Time
6. Once you have selected your preferences, click on Join a League

Joining a Public (Standard) League On the Web

1. Go to the main Fantasy section in the ESPN navigation bar
2. Click on the Sign Up link
3. Click on Join a Public League 
4. You can now make a series of selection to find the best Public League for you to join:
   1. Your Experience Level - We'll match you with leagues that have players of similar experience.
   2. Scoring type
   3. Draft Type
   4. Draft Date & Time
5. Once you have selected your preferences, click on Join a League
