Things to Know for Salary Cap Drafts
Nominating a Player
Team managers have 30 seconds to nominate a player.
To nominate, select a player from the main Players table (shows the player’s image and stats).
If no player is selected within 30 seconds, the system auto-nominates in this order:
Top player in the Player Queue panel (if any)
The available player with the highest starting salary
The default nomination offer is $1.
The nominating manager can raise the offer before submitting.
What Happens After a Nomination
Once nominated, the player appears at the top of the screen (with profile and stats) under the list of team managers.
The countdown clock begins immediately.
Making Offers
The offer clock starts at 30 seconds.
Any offer made with 10 seconds or less remaining will reset the clock back to 10 seconds.
This continues until the player is won.
Offers can be placed in two ways:
+1 bidding
Entering a custom dollar amount
The app includes two buttons for submitting an offer (depending on how you’re bidding).
Offer Limits and Max Bids
The current offer is shown on the right and will also indicate whether you’re winning.
Teams can only bid amounts that still allow them to fill the rest of their roster with at least $1 per remaining roster slot.
You can view a team’s maximum offer by hovering over the team jerseys.
The maximum offer can also be displayed via an option in the Options tab.
Once a team reaches its max offer:
The app will reject additional bids
Offer buttons will be grayed out
