When you enter the Salary Cap Draft, you will see this as the home screen:
There are a few places to get to know within the draft. Please reference the following locations on the screen (corresponding letters and descriptions follow):
A. Toggle "Auto" on or off
B. The starting salary amount for each player. Displayed in the column with the "$."
C. Search players by position
D. Search players by team
E. Button to "Queue" a player for signing
F. Nomination and Offer area
Things to know for Salary Cap Drafts:
Team managers have 30 seconds to nominate a player for signing.
Players are nominated for signing by selecting them in the main players table, which displays each player’s image and stats.
If no player is selected within the 30-second time frame, the system will automatically nominate a player in the following priority:
The top player in the Player Queue panel (if any).
The player with the highest starting salary that is still available.
The default offer for all player nominations is $1.
This amount can be raised by the nominating team manager before submitting it if desired.
A successfully nominated player appears in the top area of the screen, under the list of team managers, with stats and a profile, and the countdown clock commences.
The offering clock countdown will start at 30 seconds, and any offers made within 10 seconds remaining will reset the clock to 10 seconds until an offer is won.
Offers can be made on a “+1” basis or by manually entering a dollar amount.
There are two buttons in the application to submit an offer.
The current offer amount for the player up for drafting is displayed as the current offer on the right. This will also tell you if you have the winning offer or not.
Teams can only offer dollar amounts, with a minimum of $1 per remaining roster slot.
A team’s maximum offer is visible when you hover over the team hats.
The maximum offer can also be set in the options tab.
- Once the offer max has been reached, the Draft App will no longer allow offer submissions, and the offer buttons will be grayed out.
